Brigade Group to Build Tower C at World Trade Center Kochi

Brigade Group has entered into a land lease agreement with Infopark Kochi to construct a third tower at the World Trade Center (WTC) Kochi campus, marking a significant expansion of one of Kerala's most recognised commercial addresses. The land lease agreement was signed at a ceremony in Thiruvananthapuram in the presence of Kerala Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan, Minister for Law, Industries and Coir P Rajeeve, Chief Secretary V Venu, State IT Secretary Rathan U Kelkar, Infopark CEO Susanth Kurunthil, Brigade Group Executive Chairman M R Jaishankar, and Joint Managing Director Nirupa Shankar.

The new development, referred to as Tower C, will be a 16-storey structure coming up on a non-SEZ plot within Infopark Kochi Phase 1. The tower will offer a built-up space of 2.6 lakh square feet along with a six-level car park, making it a substantial addition to the existing WTC campus. The project is valued at approximately Rs 150 crore and is expected to be completed within three years of commencement.

Beyond the physical infrastructure, the tower carries significant economic weight for the region. The new tower of WTC will generate around 2,700 direct jobs, reinforcing Kerala's ambitions to grow its IT and IT-enabled services sector. Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan highlighted the momentum already visible at Infopark, noting that since 2016, 583 new companies have established offices there, creating 70,000 jobs, underlining why demand for quality office space in the campus continues to rise.

Speaking at the signing, M R Jaishankar, Executive Chairman of Brigade Group, said the company was keen to increase its footprint in Kerala with a new tower of WTC for the growing IT and IT-enabled service companies in the state, adding that Brigade would continue to look for viable land parcels in the state. He also pointed out that the existing WTC towers, with a combined built-up area of 7.7 lakh square feet, are fully occupied and currently house 37 companies employing close to 8,000 people, a track record that positions Tower C as a natural next step for enterprises seeking Grade A office space in Kochi.

Infopark CEO Susanth Kurunthil noted the rising demand for non-SEZ office space, pointing out that Infopark CEO Kurunthil pointed to the increasing demand for non-SEZ office spaces, which the new WTC tower aims to meet, and remarked that this new workspace will be a major attraction for big companies looking to expand or set up base in Kerala.

Once complete, Tower C will bring the total developed area of WTC Kochi to over one million square feet across three towers, cementing its position as one of the largest Grade A commercial campuses in the state. The existing twin towers at WTC Kochi already carry Grade A specifications and LEED Gold certification, and Tower C is expected to follow similar quality benchmarks, catering to multinational corporations, IT/ITeS firms, and other enterprises looking for premium office space near Kochi's Infopark and Seaport-Airport Road corridor.

For homebuyers and investors tracking Kochi's commercial real estate story, this development signals continued confidence in the city's IT ecosystem. Brigade Group holds WTC licenses across six cities in South India — Bengaluru, Chennai, Kochi, Hyderabad, Trivandrum and Devanahalli — and the Kochi expansion reflects the developer's broader strategy of strengthening its commercial portfolio in high-demand IT corridors, alongside its established residential presence across South India.
