Brigade's Beachfront Resort on East Coast Road

Brigade Group has moved into the hospitality space with a landmark beachfront project on Chennai's East Coast Road. Brigade Group is diversifying its portfolio by venturing into the hospitality sector, securing a 45-year lease agreement for the construction of a luxurious 250-room resort along the picturesque East Coast Road (ECR). With an existing operational room count of approximately 1500 rooms across five cities, the ECR resort marks Brigade Group's maiden entry into the hospitality landscape, and the developer has continued to scale up its plans since the original announcement.

The project has since evolved into a marquee collaboration with a global hospitality brand. Grand Hyatt Chennai ECR will be developed as a beachfront property on East Coast Road in Chennai, scheduled to open in 2029 with approximately 200 guest rooms. The property will include five dining venues comprising a signature restaurant, two specialty restaurants, a pool bar, and a lobby lounge, along with wellness spaces and multiple event venues designed for business travellers, leisure guests, and large-format events.

The resort is being developed by Brigade Hotel Ventures Limited, the hospitality arm of the group. Brigade Hotel Ventures Limited is an owner and developer of hotels in key cities in India, and the Company has a portfolio of nine operating hotels across Bengaluru, Chennai, Kochi, Mysuru and GIFT City with 1,604 keys. Strategically located on East Coast Road, the property is poised to become a premier destination, appealing to business travellers, wedding guests, and leisure seekers alike.
