A 250-key luxury hotel by Brigade, rising amid green Perungudi on Chennai's OMR corridor.
Discover MoreBrigade JW Marriott Chennai OMR is an upcoming luxury hospitality development being built by Brigade Hotel Ventures Limited (BHVL) in partnership with Marriott International. Anticipated to open in 2030, JW Marriott Chennai OMR is expected to feature 250 stylishly appointed guest rooms and suites, serving as a haven for travelers who seek a luxury escape paired with exceptional service and holistic well-being experiences.
The hotel is part of a much larger footprint that Brigade has secured in the area. Brigade Group has acquired a nine-acre land parcel in Perungudi on a long-term, 55-year lease from the YMCA. The company's plans for the site include a Grade-A office complex, designed to meet the growing demand for high-quality commercial spaces from IT, startup, and fintech firms, and a 200-key JW Marriott hotel, which will strengthen the company's hospitality presence in the region. This makes the project one of the more significant mixed-use commitments on the OMR corridor in recent years.
The hotel is one among several new Marriott-branded properties Brigade is bringing to India. Marriott International and Brigade Hotel Ventures Ltd will open six hotels totaling 940 rooms across four markets in India, developed under five Marriott Bonvoy brands: The Ritz-Carlton, JW Marriott, Marriott Hotels & Resorts, Courtyard by Marriott and Fairfield by Marriott. Within Chennai specifically, the expansion will begin with the launch of the Courtyard by Marriott Chennai World Trade Centre, followed by the luxury JW Marriott Chennai OMR and Grand Hyatt Chennai ECR, both slated for completion by 2029-30.
Design plans lean into wellness and leisure rather than just business travel. Design plans for the resort comprise multiple tranquil wellness spaces, including the brand's signature Spa by JW, a swimming pool, and a fitness center, along with a JW Garden and five distinct culinary experiences. The meeting and event venues are expected to encompass 1,400 square meters of versatile, naturally lit spaces, thoughtfully designed to accommodate gatherings of all scales.
As a hospitality asset rather than a residential project, Brigade JW Marriott Chennai OMR will offer a mix of guest rooms and suites rather than apartments for sale; the exact room-category breakup and tariffs will be released closer to the hotel's opening.

Detailed room and suite floor plans for Brigade JW Marriott Chennai OMR will be unveiled closer to the hotel's anticipated 2030 opening.
The masterplan covers a 9-acre Perungudi parcel combining the 250-key JW Marriott hotel with a Grade-A office complex, giving the precinct a live-work-stay character along OMR.
The project sits in Perungudi, one of the most established stretches of Chennai's OMR IT corridor. Perungudi is an eminent IT hub along OMR in South Chennai, hosts World Trade Center Chennai, while the Tharamani IT hub is at 3 km, and IT hubs of Thoraipakkam & Sholinganallur are accessible within 10 km. The SIDCO Industrial Estate in Guindy is nearly 10 km from the locale. This puts the hotel within easy reach of a large base of corporate travellers working in IT parks and business campuses along the corridor. The immediate neighbourhood is already anchored by Brigade's own World Trade Center Chennai development. World Trade Center Chennai is located at 110 Old Mahabalipuram Road, Perungudi, Chennai, and is a completed office development owned by Brigade Group and GIC. Other important landmarks near this stretch include Rajiv Gandhi Salai Road, Taramani Railway Station, and Chennai One IT SEZ. With the OMR corridor also seeing metro rail expansion and steady infrastructure upgrades, the location is set to benefit from improving connectivity in the years leading up to the hotel's opening.
