Brigade Group Eyes Kerala as Strategic Growth Hub with ₹1,500 Crore Investment

On February 11, 2026, Brigade Group marked a significant milestone in its Kerala expansion strategy with key launches in Thiruvananthapuram. The developer is committing to a major presence across the state's most dynamic cities.

Brigade Group has pledged an investment of Rs 15 billion in Kerala, aiming to generate over 12,000 jobs over the next five years. This reflects the company's confidence in Kerala's emerging potential as a growth engine for South India. By bringing world-class landmarks like the World Trade Center to Thiruvananthapuram and expanding our presence in Kochi, we are creating a sustainable ecosystem that will attract global investment and redefine the state's industrial landscape for decades to come, said M R Jaishankar, Executive Chairman, Brigade Enterprises.

Flagship Projects Taking Shape

The company conducted the foundation stone-laying ceremony and Bhoomi puja for its flagship World Trade Center (WTC) located at Technopark Phase I, Kazhakkottam. The upcoming WTC will be an iconic structure, comprising 20 floors, plus ground level and four basements. With the overall plan to develop about 1.5 million sqft of premium office space including a business class hotel, this development is set to become an international landmark for the city of Thiruvananthapuram.

Simultaneously, the company also inaugurated Brigade Square. This is a substantial IT facility spanning 1.85 lakh sq. ft. and is situated near Technopark's Park Centre. The project is expected to cater to growing demand from technology firms and allied sectors seeking Grade A office space in the region.

Expanding Kochi Footprint

Brigade also announced plans to build an additional one million sq. ft. tower at its existing WTC site in Infopark Kochi. KPMG has taken up more than 260,000 square feet of office space at tower 1 employing more than 2,500 professionals from this facility. The expansion underscores growing corporate demand for premium office infrastructure in Kerala's IT hubs.

Residential and Hospitality Diversification

Beyond commercial spaces, Brigade is looking to expand its footprint in Kerala with a residential project in Kochi and a luxury island resort at Vaikom. These projects are expected to be completed by 2030. The residential project aims to meet the increasing demand for high-quality urban housing, while the premium island resort is expected to enhance Kerala's tourism appeal.

Strategic Advantage in Kerala's IT Ecosystem

He emphasized Kerala's strong talent pool and emerging role as a major growth engine in South India. Kochi is considered as one of the fastest emerging IT hubs in the country. With a wide range of industries available, the city has seen massive growth in the past decade. Technopark CEO Shri Sandip Kumar IAS highlighted the capital city's connectivity, skilled workforce, and upcoming IT policy incentives as major strengths that will support sustained growth.
